A: In the 50's during the height of nuclear threat and annihilation, car companies focused on distraction and the illusion of power/control and protection with massive cars with the delusion of futuristic design and concept models. All of which provided an escape for consumers to avoid out of control and futureless aspects of national headlines (nuke war with USSR, fear of nuclear tech, etc.)>
B: The gathering of dudes reminded me of whenever I would work on my car growing up, it would somehow attract every bored dude on the block, with a beer in hand, observing and offering "suggestions" comparable to backseat driving with the occasional "hold my beer" comment.
C: Midlife crisis analogy of women going 'health/wellness' crazy. Funny shit dude.
